Fadi grew up in Baghdad, a city shaped by two great rivers: the Tigris and the Euphrates. For miles they run apart, but eventually, they meet and flow as one. Where these rivers merge, the water turns dark, deep, powerful, and full of history. That place became the inspiration behind Black River.

Before life in Canada, Fadi ran his own jeans factory in Iraq. Sewing was more than work, it was pride, precision, and independence. But civil unrest forced him to leave behind everything he had built. Fadi fled the Middle East seeking safety and found a new home in Canada, where he is now a citizen. Here, Fadi chose to return to his roots, bringing his passion for raw denim back to life. He pivoted from his previous projects to focus fully on what he knows best: crafting premium jeans, rugged jackets, and unique denim accessories, applying decades of craftsmanship to every single stitch. Every piece is cut, sewn, and built by hand in his workshop, made for everyday wear, city streets, and wherever your journey takes you.
